[Warning] Popular Meds Causing CANCER?!

When you’re suffering from acid reflux, you’ll do ANYTHING for relief.

So it’s no wonder that Big Pharma has made a fortune selling proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) like Nexium, Prilosec, and Prevacid.

You can’t turn on the TV these days without seeing a commercial for these meds!

But these PPIs have a dark secret that you’ll NEVER heard about in those cute 30-second ads.

They send your risk of two particularly deadly forms of cancer straight through the roof.

Here’s what you need to know to stay safe.

A new study from Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden has found that long-term use of PPIs could put you on the fast track for esophageal cancer.

Researchers looked at 794,492 patients who were taking PPIs between 2005 and 2014.

And what they found was horrifying.

Folks who took PPIs were at an increased risk of two deadly cancers – esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).

Since PPIs were first put on the market, the incidence of EAC and ESCC have increased dramatically across the globe.

And this isn’t the first time PPIs have been linked to cancer risk.

Another study out of Hong Kong showed that long-term PPI therapy can double gastric cancer risk.

The Swedish research team is calling for a more restrictive attitude towards prescribing PPIs.

“Long term use of PPIs should be addressed with caution,” they explain.

Yeah, you can say that again. You’re not supposed to use these drugs for longer than several days (it even says so on the labels), but many people stay on them for months or years.

And that’s CRAZY, because natural remedies like digestive enzymes and probiotics have proven effective at managing acid reflux.

If you’re taking PPIs, talk to your doctor about tapering off and trying a safer solution.

It could be a matter of life and death.
