And according to a new study from the Baylor College of Medicine, even a modest amount of high fructose corn syrup can speed up colon cancer growth.
For the research, scientists analyzed cancer growth in mice that consumed water sweetened with 25 percent HFCS – the equivalent of just one can of soda per day!
After just one month, the mice who received the HFCS water gained a significant amount of weight and also developed aggressive tumors in their intestines.
And we all know just how deadly colon cancer is.
In fact, the researchers concluded that HFCA acts as food for colon cancer cells.
You see, tumors feed on high fructose corn syrup and grow at an accelerated rate, as a result.
It’s truly disturbing…
And the FDA is doing nothing to stop it.
My doctor certainly hasn’t told me that sugar and high fructose corn syrup causes cancer… and I’m willing to bet yours hasn’t either.
But that’s not the only DEADLY risks of these processed sweeteners.
On top of obesity and cancer, high fructose corn syrup has also been linked to:
