The REAL Reason to Eat Organic
For years, Big Food has been telling us the same old lie about produce.
They say that all fruits and veggies – organic or conventionally grown– are perfectly safe.
Well, we all know that’s NOT TRUE.
There’s a mountain of studies showing that eating conventionally grown plants are full of toxins and pesticides that can wreck your health.
Now there’s one more reason to choose organic produce.
And it’s for a rather disturbing.
A new study, published in the journal Agriculture, Ecosystems, & Environment, has revealed a shocking difference between organic and conventional produce.
You see, its focus was pathogens and plant-parasitic nematodes– or PPN.
PPNs are dangerous because they can thrive in your body.
They literally feed off of you and even cause serious stomach problems.
And it looks like conventional produce is full of them.
For the research, scientists analyzed the two farming methods in corn and beans. The organic farm used compost and natural parasite prevention methods. The conventional used fertilizer and pesticides designed for parasites.
After three years of farming, the scientists found the organic produce had significantly less PPN
And this isn’t the only evidence that organic farming methods reduce parasite infestation.
A 2011 study, published in The Journal of Nematology, showed that neem extracts, oil cakes, and other organic farming techniques not only kept PPNs away from crops but actually killed the parasites as they tried to invade!
So, not only is organic produce free of GMOs and harmful chemicals, they don’t even need them in the first place!
Organic farming simply does the job on its own.
And that’s why choosing organic is more important than ever.
