Holiday Delight FIGHTS the Flu

The holidays are in full swing… and that means flus season is, too.

Your mainstream doc is probably hounding you to roll up your sleeves for a shot.

But don’t fall for it – some years, the flu vaccine has failed more than 90 percent of the time for seniors.

And there’s no proof this year will be any different.

Luckily, a new study reveals that a certain rich food can protect you from the flu virus… NO shots required.

And it’s in some of your favorite holiday treats!

I’m talking about cocoa!

That’s right! Delicious hot cocoa… decedent chocolate cake… and creamy fudge can all help you BEAT the flu.

And Japanese researchers just completed THREE trials that prove it.

For the first lab test, researchers exposed several strains of the flu virus to a cocoa extract.

For the second lab test, this cocoa mix was administered to mice who had received a lethal dose of the flu virus.

Finally, in a human trial, participants consumed cocoa for three weeks, and were then exposed to the flu.

In all three tests, the cocoa STOPPED the flu from infiltrating healthy cells.

Even better? In the humans, the cocoa boosted antibodies against the flu and increased natural “killer” cell activity in order to fight the infection.

How does it work, you ask?

Well, cocoa contains antimicrobial properties, meaning that it is potent against infection.

Plus, cocoa is rich in polyphenols and flavanols which give it an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effect.

Cocoa also activates your natural immune response, providing stronger protection against the flu and other infection diseases.

All of these benefits without the added risk of the flu shot.

And adding more cocoa to you diet is a delight! You can add it to yogurt, smoothies, pudding, fruit, or whatever other snack you fancy.

Just make sure you are buying unprocessed, cocoa powder.
