High Blood Pressure CAUSING This Disease (SHOCKING!)

If you’re among the more than 30 percent of American seniors with high blood pressure, you already know how this dangerous condition threatens your health.

Over time, those elevated numbers can have you at risk for heart disease and stroke.

And according to a shocking new study, these heart problems might be the least of your worries.

Because your high blood pressure can actually lead to another devastating disease.

It’s nothing short of a nightmare… but luckily there is something you can do to stop it!\]

Recent research, released at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference, shows that high blood pressure (BP) can put you on the fast track to dementia and cognitive decline.

But there’s good news…

The researchers also reported that maintaining strict BP control can reduce your risk of cognitive problems.

For the study, more than 9,000 adults with high BP readings were divided into two groups – one aimed at getting systolic (the top number) readings below 120 mm Hg and the other aimed at getting that number below 140 mm Hg.

And the results were incredibly revealing…

The below 120 mm Hg groupreduced their risk of heart attack, stroke and heart failure by a WHOPPING 25 percent and decreased their risk of dying from heart disease by 27 percent.

Plus, having lower blood pressure also slowed the development of “white matter” lesions in the brain that are linked to dementia.

Even better? The participants in the 120 mm Hg group hada 19 percent reduction in new incidences of cognitive decline.

This means that those people were less likely to develop Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

These results were actually so groundbreaking that the study was stopped early so that all participants could receive optimal treatment for high BP.

Even the American Heart Association took notice!

They changed their recommendation that treatment for high blood pressure should begin at 130/80 mm Hg rather than 140/90 mm Hg.

But that’s not necessarily good news.

Yes, this change means that more people will take action to protect their hearts and brains sooner.

But it also means that more Americans will be put on risky blood pressure meds that can actually do far more harm than good.

So, if you or a loved one is struggling with high blood pressure, try a safe, effective, natural remedy rather than those Big Pharma drugs.

Some of the most effective supplements that have been proven to reduce blood pressure and fight arterial stiffness include:

  • Omega-3 fatty acids
  • Olive leaf extract
  • Coenzyme Q10
  • Melatonin

And incorporating more exercise and an organic diet into your lifestyle can make a world of difference in protecting your heart and your brain.
