[BREAKING] Weight Loss Drug Causing CANCER?!
If you’ve been an Advanced Health Daily reader for a while, you already know that mainstream medicine likes to hand out a pill for everything.
And a lot of times these pills do nothing to fix your problems… and are LOADED with side effects.
Well friend, it’s happened again.
A common weight-loss drug has now been FLAGGED by – believe it or not – the FDA because it CAUSES cancer.
Here’s how to stay safe.
Recently the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requested that the producer of the weight loss drug, Belviq (lorcaserin, PULL the drug from the U.S. market in response to safety concerns.
And you know this is bad if the FDA is doing something about it…
A randomized clinical trial to assess safety shows that folks taking this drug had “an increased occurrence of cancer.”
The drug manufacturer was required by the FDA to conduct a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial that involved 12,000 patients over five years.
Originally, the purpose was to assess cardiac problems.
But instead, they found that patients taking lorcaserin were more often diagnosed with cancer than those taking the placebo.
Many types of cancers were reported, with several types, especially colorectal and pancreatic, occurring more frequently in the group taking lorcaserin.
If you or a loved one are taking this drug you are URGED to stop taking the drug and to dispose of any unused pills. It’s best to dispose of them by dropping them off at one of these drug take-back locations.
You should also talk to your doctor about a drug-free weight loss plan.
